Robert Lance Mckelvy

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church with Alan Burkhalter, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. McKelvy was born in Amarillo. He lived here all his life. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1997. He attended West Texas A & M University. He graduated from the Amarillo Police Academy in 2000. He worked at the Borger Police Department for 2 years. He was the DARE officer for the Borger schools last year. He married Cassie Rogers in May, 2003 at Canyon. He was a member of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Lynn McKelvy in 1981, and an aunt, Vicky Still in 2000. Survivors include: his wife, of the home; his parents, Khristi McKelvy and Rod Sears of Amarillo; his grandparents, Neal and Bonnie Smith of Clifton, TX, J.L. and Dorothy Goldman of Marietta, OK; 1 aunt, Rhonda Guillotte of Heber Springs, AR; 5 uncles, Roy McKelvy, Harley McKelvy, Frank McKelvy all of Marietta, OK, Ronnie McKelvy of Austin, and Brent Smith of Dalhart; his parents-in-law, Rick and Stacy Rogers of Amarillo; 2 brothers-in-law, Ricky Rogers and Jeffery Rogers both of Amarillo; many friends and his brothers in blue.
