Robert 'Robby' Mulherin

Robert "Robby" Mulherin 68, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Amarillo. Private family services will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Robby was born in Amarillo. He was an avid photographer and worked for the Amarillo Globe News for more than 30 years. During his career, he documented much of the history of Amarillo such as the history of the downtown Santa Fe Building. He also covered the Oprah Winfrey and T. Cullen Davis trials. He had a passion for weather pictures, especially lightning storms. Robby had a witty and somewhat sarcastic sense of humor. He enjoyed making people laugh. He was avid New York Yankee and Los Angeles Dodger fan. He married Judy LaVigne on April 5, 2007 in Amarillo. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Jennifer Fischer and her husband David of Sparks, NV, Heather Wheeler and Autumn Allen and her husband Paul, all of Amarillo; two sons, Matt Mulherin and his wife Danielle and Trent Mulherin, all of Amarillo; his mother, Wanda of Ormond Beach, FL; one sister Julie McCollum and husband Max of Ormond Beach, FL and nine grandchildren, Tyler, Cade, Josh, Reagan, Isaac, Alex, Carsyn, Dallen and Everitt. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Faith City Mission.
