Robert Allen Tomlin

Robert "Bob" Tomlin 64, of Clarendon died Monday, August 29, 2016 in Dallas. Memorial services will be at 2:00 Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Bob was born in Saint Louis, MO. He moved to Amarillo in the 1960's. Bob was a long-time dedicated employee of Owens Corning. He began his career in 1978 and retired in 2012 as a lab technician. Bob was a fun-loving man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an exemplary husband, father, father in law and grandfather. He was always helping others in any way he could. Bob married Nancy Wright on Nov. 5, 1972 in Amarillo. They moved to Clarendon last August. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Tonja Allen and her husband Brian of Clarendon and Tianna Farrar and her husband Chad of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Toby, Brina, Oakley and Regan; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Wyatt and Kynleigh; three sisters, Barbara Gibson of Charlottesville, VA, Gladys Maiwald and Cynthia Dorsey both of Amarillo and numerous extended family. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday at 7743 Pinnacle Dr. Memorial donations can be sent to the American Lung Association, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001.
