Robert L. Vaughan

Robert L. Vaughan, 77 of Santa Fe, NM formally of Amarillo died Saturday January 10, 2015 in Santa Fe. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in Memorial Park East Mausoleum with Retired Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Military honors will be provided by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Robert went to be with the Lord on Saturday he was born in Amarillo on August 27, 1937 to William and Annie Vaughan. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1957 and joined the U.S. Navy in July of 1956. Robert was a very religious man, he always studied the Bible and loved to draw pictures from the Bible. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, mentor and much more too many. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda, two brothers: L.E. "Gene" Vaughan, and Bill K. Vaughan, a sister Shirley Pauline Bradley. Survivors include: a son, Robert L. Vaughan Jr, a daughter, Tammy Lynn Trujillo, a grandson, Arley Trujillo, and a special niece Malia Bradley, and many other nieces, and nephews.
