Roberto C. 'Ruben' Miranda

Roberto C. "Ruben" Miranda, 93, of Dumas, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Laurance Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Dumas Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests July 15, 4-8 pm and Rosary will be 6 pm at the funeral home on Friday. Roberto was born in Asherton on October 23, 1927, to Florentina and Basilio. Ruben was a loving, teaching father and friend. He moved to Stratford then built a house in dumas in 1957, he spent 63 years in dumas. He married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Dora, on July 12, 1944. Ruben was very caring and giving and made sure that his family was either educated or fed, sending those to college that wanted to go. He grew up learning through the hard Knox. He raised his own livestock and garden. He also was very good with his hands. He would use his abilities to construct tools to make tasks easier. Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers; Dionicho and Richard Miranda, one sister, Margarita Hoover, one daughter, Olivia Miranda, One grandson, Angelo Miranda, and one great-grandson, Issac Miranda. He is survived by his three daughters; Amelia Rangel, Susan Flores and Sally Trejo, two sons, Robert and Albert Miranda, four sisters; Jainie Pollard, Sylvia Gonzales, Gloria Medlin, and Susie Robbins, one brother, Manuel Angel Miranda, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
