Roberto Montenegro

Roberto Montenegro 68, of Amarillo died Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at Iglesia Christiana Amarillo Para Christo with Ray Ramos, pastor officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Roberto was born in Mexico. He moved to Amarillo in 1978 from Mexico. He worked in construction for many years. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He married Maria Aguilar in 1967 in Mexico. He was preceded in death by a sister, Guadalupe Ibarra in 2002. Roberto is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Patricia Montenegro of Amarillo; three sons, Lorenzo Montenegro, Gabriel Montenegro and Roberto Montenegro, Jr. all of Amarillo; four sisters, Rosa Nunez, Gloria Ramirez, Angelica Mendoza and Magdalena Alvarez all of Amarillo; six brothers, Rosendo Montenegro of Albuquerque, NM, Carlos Montenegro, Ranulfo Montenegro, Jr., Arturo Montenegro, Jose Montenegro and Daniel Montenegro all of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
