Ronald "Ronnie" Walter Barnes, 42, of Amarillo died October 30, 2022. The family will host a memorial service at Central Church of Christ at 10:00 am Saturday, November 5th. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Ronnie was born in Amarillo on December 13, 1979, to Roy and Sandra Barnes. Ronnie was a very selfless, kind-hearted person who put everyone else before himself. He often helped others without asking for anything in return. Ronnie was the family mechanic, making sure their cars were maintained. He loved racing, fishing, playing pool, and traveling. Ronnie cherished time with his family. He was a proud father and Papa. He loved them immensely. Nothing was more of a priority than spending time with his grandchildren. When they wanted Papa, Ronnie stopped what he was doing immediately. Ronnie was very outspoken and comical. There was never a dull moment with him around. He often antagonized his sisters giving them funny nicknames. They knew they could always call him for anything. If he couldnt help them personally, He always knew just whom to call. Ronnie was a mamas boy and loved her dearly. He sent his mother a text every morning wishing her a good day. He never went anywhere without telling her where he was going. He cherished working with his dad. they worked together every day, on his pickup, racecars, or just cleaning the shop. Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Virginia Ketzel, One granddaughter, Aracely Garcia. He is survived by his Fiance, Rachel Gordon, His parents, Roy and Sandra Barnes, three sons; Ronnie Tex Barnes, And his wife Mailyn, Arlie Black, and Christian Clay, one stepson, Hunter Gordon, two stepdaughters, Amaia Gordon and Alexis Abalos, two granddaughters; Aarilyn Barnes, and Ellie Abalos, one grandson, Aivehn Abalos, two sisters; Lori and her significant other Kameron Peeks, and Rebecca Barnes and her significant other Joseph Gettles, two nieces; Reese and Oaklen Barnes, one nephew, Keeven Peeks, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
