Ronald Ron Griffin

Memorial Services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Country Church at Amarillo College East Campus, Avenue J & NE 11TH, Amarillo, Texas 79111. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ron was born in St. Joseph, MO on December 29, 1939 to Clarence and Anna Margaret (Hans) Griffin. He honorably served our country for 20 years with the United States Navy. He received numerous awards medals and commendations for his dedicated service during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1976. He then began career at the Pantex Plant and retired in 2012 as a Production Technician. Ron married the love of his life, Jackie Genger on July 30, 1983 in Kansas City, MO. He dearly loved his family. He enjoyed the times spent with them camping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was especially fond of his grandchildren and cherished every moment he had with them. Ron is survived by his wife of 30 years; three daughters, Mary Babcock and her husband Richard of Garland, Anna Everett and her husband Nick of Bennington, OK., and Amy Lacy and her husband Robert of Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several brother and sisters.
