Ronnie K. Cogdill, 68, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Private family graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. MST in Wheatland Cemetery in San Jon, N.M. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ronnie was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Springer, N.M. to Oliver and Delma Cogdill. Ronnie was a loving husband, father and "Papa" who loved riding motorcycles, hunting and gardening. He worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 24 years and retired from Bell Helicopter after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Mattie L. Cogdill of Amarillo; a son, Ronnie D. Cogdill and wife Sam of Spearman; two daughters, Angie Weggesser and husband Dan of Amarillo and Mistie Walser and husband Randy of Canadian; two sisters, Vickie Keith and husband Mike of Amarillo and Nancy Stout and husband Dick of Abilene; six grandchildren, Brandon Cogdill, Brandi Cogdill, Brett Eggers, Chloe Walser, Claire Walser Ella Walser; and a great-grandchild, Bentley Cogdill.
