Rosa Ellen Ford-Lueb 83, of Amarillo died Friday June 1, 2012 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Lueb was born on September 1, 1928 on the George Muse farm, south of Widorado to Jesse E. and Olive G. (Harris) Ford. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1949. She worked at the Hereford Creamery for seven years before becoming a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. After her husband retired, they moved to Amarillo in 1976. She retired from Southwestern Bell on October 13, 1981, after 30 years of dedicated service. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the South Central United States. Her husband, Al on February 27, 2002, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John Finis Ford and James Ernest Ford and a sister, Margie Lucille Ford. She is survived by 3 brothers, George Muse Ford of Pampa, Joe Allen Ford of Houston and Lee Alexander Ford of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Patsy Ann (Ford) D'Herde of Lorena and Betty Lou (Ford) Rickert of Amarillo. The family suggests memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
