Rosario F. Escamill

The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday, November 21 in the Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 22 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home. Rosie was born on September 3, 1942 in Odessa. She moved to Amarillo in the early 1960's, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a social worker for several organizations including Texas Department of Human Resources, United Way, Region 16- Head Start program, and the Children's Cottage. Rosie had a compassionate and caring heart. She was very patient and dedicated her life to helping others. Her sense of humor and smile would brighten the day of anyone in her presence. She was also patriotic, and respected all the men and woman who have served our country. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed. The family would like to convey a special appreciation to the nurses, physicians, and staff of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her mother, Amelia Fierro. Survivors include her father, Acension ""A.B."" Fierro of Amarillo; 2 sons, L. George Escamilla of Corpus Christi, and Alberto D. Escamilla of Atlantic Beach, FL; 3 daughters, Celia Eulalia Escamilla of Austin, Elodia Escamilla of Ft. Worth, and Selina Lucy Escamilla of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, Antonio Brewer, Arlie Brewer, Eddie Martinez, Christina Marie Escamilla, Katrina Rose Rule, Matthew Paul Rule, and Maximus Lee Rule; a great grandchild on the way; 4 brothers, Eduardo Fierro of Amarillo, Ricardo Fierro of Canyon, Acension D. Fierro of Smithville, and Joe Fierro of Amarillo; 4 sisters, Eulalia Marquez of Longview, Patsy Watts of Carrollton, Maria T. Gibbs of Amarillo, and Veronica A. Fierro also of Amarillo; the father of her children, Jorge Escamilla of Amarillo, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family requests that memorials be made to a favorite veteran's charity of your choice.
