Roy Gale Leamon

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with LaVon Thompson, pastor of Life of Praise Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military honors by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26 will be in Llano Cemetery. Roy was born June 10, 1943, in Granite, Okla., and lived most of his life in Amarillo. He married the love of his life, Carrie Graves, on May 20, 1961. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Roy served in the U.S. Army and was a truck driver for Tri-State Baking Co. for more than 25 years until he retired last year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Minnie Opal Leamon. Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Leamon Jr.; three daughters, Cindy Kirkes, Patricia Bradley and Cathy Thompson and husband Carl; four grandchildren, Joseph, Aaron, Rachel and Chyna; and two great-grandchildren, Gabby and Liylah.
