Roy D. Locker

Roy D. Locker 86, of Amarillo died April 3, 2022, in Amarillo. Visitation will be from 1 pm to 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday at Rector Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Monday, April 11, 2022, at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Locker was born in Altus, OK. He lived in Muleshoe, where he farmed for many years. He retired and moved to Amarillo in 2011. Mr. Locker farmed mainly produce. He grew watermelons, corn, and pumpkins and was fondly known as the "Tomato King". He enjoyed hunting with his friend, Terry. Roy was very soft-spoken and was loved by everyone that knew him. He dearly loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He married Rosita "Rosie" Guerrero in 1967 in Littlefield. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Rita Lewallen and Gloria Wimberly, both of Amarillo and Sandra Lopez of Abernathy; his sister, Dolores Garrett of Muleshoe; 11 grandchildren, 18, great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
