Ruby M. Bardwell

Ruby M. Bardwell 95, of Amarillo died Friday August 27, 2010 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Bardwell was born in Kaufman County. She moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Vega. She worked in several different civilian positions at the Amarillo Air Force Base for many years. She retired when the base closed. She was a long time member of the Rebekah Lodge #222 where she served in several offices including Deputy Grand. Mrs. Bardwell was also a life member of the Moose Lodge #1150 where she served in every office including Senior Regent. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. She married Albert F. Bardwell in 1951 at Clayton, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Latham in 2000 and 3 granddaughters. She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna Reeves of Amarillo and Jo Beth Terry and her husband B.C. of Fritch; 1 sister Wanda Young of Sacramento, CA; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.
