Ruby Dell Morrison

Ruby Dell Morrison, 82, of Amarillo died Monday, March 23 in Clarendon, Texas. Private graveside services will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Llano Cemetery with Jaci Chadick officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage Street, Amarillo, TX. Ruby was born May 16, 1937 to Robert Samuel and Nancy Elizabeth Thomas . She attended Quail Schools. She married Leon Morrison on January 18, 1963. Ruby was an accomplished seamstress and blessed many people with her sewing skills. She was a member of the Panhandle Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Association and composed its newsletter for many years. She and Leon loved attending Bluegrass festivals. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers; R.S. Thomas Sr., M.G. Thomas, Claude Thomas, and Ruben Thomas. She is survived by her sister Billie Oatman of Clarendon, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and special friend, Nancy Owens of Clarendon. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
