Ruth Mildred 'Millie' King

Ruth Mildred "Millie" King 84, of Amarillo died Monday, February 27, 2017 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Terry Callis, chaplain officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Millie was born on March 18, 1932 in Paris, Texas to Maurice and Allie Mae Bailey. She moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Hedley. Millie worked for the Amarillo ISD for many years in food service. Millie loved taking care of her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Millie collected gingerbread and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1992, one son, Michael "Bo" Crawford on 2005 and a daughter Deborah Guffey in 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Noyes and her husband Jerry of Mesquite and Cathy Taylor and her husband Charles of Oklahoma City, OK; one son, Jerry Crawford and his wife Davon of Amarillo; two sisters Louise Browne and Mary Opal Howell-Nash both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations be to Meals on Wheels, 219 SW 7th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
