Sam L. Brown

Sam L. Brown 78 of Amarillo died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, with Dr. Randy Davis, pastor officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Brown was born in Amarillo. He served in the Navy during WWII. In 1946 he began working for Santa Fe Railway. He retired in 1990 as a conductor after 44 years of service. He married Margaret Moore on July 15, 1948 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife of the home, 2 sons; Lee Brown of Amarillo and Danny Brown and his wife Vanissa, both of Amarillo, 1 daughter Eileen Bartholomew and her husband Larry, both of Lubbock, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
