Sammy Joe Ramirez, 48, of Amarillo died Friday, December 3, 2021. Funeral service is 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel Officiated by Robert Ortega with Trinity Fellowship. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Monday and Tuesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Sammy was born in Garden City Ks. January 31, 1973, to Ignacio Ramirez and Gloria Nunez. Sammy was a fun, Silly man who enjoyed making others laugh. He was very kind-hearted and enjoyed helping others. There was never a dull moment around Sammy. He was very musically talented, learning to play the guitar and accordion by hearing the song a few times. He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle in Toys for Tots. Sammy was preceded in death by his mother, and stepfather, Robert Nunez. He is survived by his father, Ignacio Ramirez, and his wife Juanita, two sons; Moses Ramos and Johnathan Ramirez, one daughter, Jordan Ramirez, two grandchildren; Jaycelyn and Zandalee Ramirez, three brothers; James Ramirez and his wife Brenda, Javier and Jesse Ramirez, five sisters; Mariah Molina, Veronica Nunez and her husband Michael, and Jessica Duban and her husband Miguel, Jessica and Amanda Ramirez, Many nieces, nephews.
