Sammy Ray Ramirez

Sammy Ray Ramirez, 21 of Amarillo died Sunday, February 15, 2004. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel, with Spike Maldonado, of the Embassy, officiating. Mr. Ramirez was born in Amarillo and lived here all his life. He attended Palo Duro High School. He worked as an order puller for Affiliated Foods for 3 years. He was a hard worker and a very devoted father. Survivors include his daughter, Naomi Samantha Ramirez of Las Cruces, NM; his parents, Brenda Spencer and Sammy Ramirez, Jr. of Amarillo; 1 sister, Leah Ramirez of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Chris Spencer of Amarillo, and Eric Ramirez of Cherry Point, NC; his grandparents, Helen Marez of Amarillo, Elda Gonzales of Corpus Christi, and Samuel Ramirez, Sr. and his wife Margie of Amarillo; and his great-grandmother, Mary Marez of Amarillo. Memorial donations may be made to the Sammy Ray Ramirez Memorial Benefit Fund, c/o Amarillo National Bank. Donations may be made at any ANB branch location.
