Samuel Ornelas,66, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 service is 2:00 pm Tuesday July 7 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by James Griffin. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage Samuel was born February 20, 1954 in Amarillo to Erminia and Eluterio Ornelas. He was born with cerebral palsy. Samuel was strong willed and determined. He Graduated from the Texas School for the deaf in Austin. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn fan, attending games while he lived in Austin. Samuel adored his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Rebeca Ornelas and Judy Vigil. He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Perez and Becky Ornelas, five brothers, Ismael Ornelas and his wife Juanita; Richard Ornelas and his wife Pam; Jose Ornelas and his wife SunCha; Leonard Ornelas; Francisco Ornelas and his wife Melva; and David Ornelas and 21 nieces and nephews.
