Santiago Nunez, 26, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 7, 2023. Funeral Service is 2:00 pm Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home officiated by Archie HoneyCutt of Mayim-Hayim Ministries Inc. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 12pm to 7pm. Santiago was born in Amarillo to James and Sonia Nunez. Santiago graduated with honors. He was a standout athlete. He was the quarterback for Caprock High and Tulia High during his senior year. Santiago was also a gymnast and played baseball, basketball, and golf. He also loved skeet shooting and going fishing. Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, James and Sonia Nunez, his two sisters: Jaida and Niema Nunez, and one brother, Daelon Alvarez.
