Sharon Kay McWhorter 66, of Amarillo died Wednesday September 22, 2010 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dale Travis, pastor of Family Life Fellowship officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. McWhorter was born on September 28, 1943 in Perryton to John and Martha Mounts. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a homemaker and was passionate about gardening. She also loved caring for animals especially dogs. Mrs. McWhorter was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Boyd, her father John Mounts, her step-father, L.H. Boyd, a sister, Carolyn Miller, a nephew, Brent Osborn and a grandson, Joshua Stadler. She is survived by 3 daughters, Toni Tanner and her husband Darrell ""Tex"", Teresa Bacon and her husband Jim and Tracy Fielder and her husband Tim all of Amarillo; a brother in law, Karl Miller of Federal Way, WA; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Stout and her husband Craig of Pampa, Brandi Northcutt, Bryan Bacon, Joseph Fielder, Brittany Bacon, Stefani Tanner, Mariah Fielder, Michael Fielder, Annaliese Fielder and Arianna Fielder all of Amarillo; 1 great-granddaughter, Brianna Northcutt of Amarillo. The family suggests memorial donations be to the ASPCA.
