Shirley Ann Bean-Cook of Amarillo died Saturday Dec. 28, 2002 Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Washington Ave. Christian Church with Brad Small pastor of Body of Christ at Amarillo South Church. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Cook was born in Dallas. She was raised in Amarillo and attended St. Marys School. She graduated from S. Anthonys School of Nursing. She was a homemaker and a military wife. She returned to nursing in 1974 as the nurse for the Taylor County School in Abilene. In 1977, Mrs. Cook returned to Amarillo where she worked as a home health nurse and later for the Amarillo State Center. She retired in 1989. After her retirement, she spent her time spoiling her three grandsons. She married Bill Cook in 1957 at Amarillo. She was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church. Survivors include: her husband of the home, her twin children; Patricia Maddox and her husband Darryl and Darrell Cook and his wife Kathy, all of Amarillo, and 3 grandsons; Cameron Cook, Clayton Cook and Connor Cook all of Amarillo.
