Shirley Beth Lowry

Shirley Beth Lowry, 71, of Canyon died Sunday January 15, 2006 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Llano Cemetery, with Bob Miller of South Georgia Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 South Osage, Amarillo TX 79103. Mrs. Lowry married Robert C. Lowry in November 1951 in Clovis New Mexico. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2000. She was a member of the Eastern Star and served on the Bereavement Committee at the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari New Mexico. She delivered meals for Meals on Wheels in Tucumcari and enjoyed traveling and going to the mountains. She took her first plane ride in 2000, and then went on her first train ride to Chicago. She loved spending time on the boat. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Survivors include a daughter; Elaine Hardman of Guymon OK; three sons; Charles Lowry of Canyon; Eugene Lowry of Amarillo; and James Lowry of Fort Morgan, CO; two brothers; Ronald Huffstutler of Commerce TX and Jim Carver of Amarillo; one sister, Betty Sharp of Nashville; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
