Shirley Lee Moore

Shirley Lee Moore 85, of Amarillo died, Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Llano Cemetery with Loran Harper officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Moore was born on August 12, 1935 in Crosbyton to Shirley W. and Ruth (Cash) Moore. He served in the Air Force from 1955 to June of 1975. He was a flight simulator engineer and retired as a Tech Sgt. After retiring from the Air Force, TSgt. Moore worked for Lockheed Martin for several years as an engineer. He married Shirley Dee Turpen on Aug. 29, 1953 in Acme. She preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 2020. Mr. Moore was know for his kind and gentle spirit. He as a dedicated member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. He is survived by his son David of Fredericksburg, VA; his daughter Christie Martin and her husband Andy of Cleveland, OH; one brother, J.H. Moore of Amarillo and six grandchildren, John, Simon, Anna, Sissy, Sylvia and Danny. The family requests memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
