Sid Lawlis

Sid Lawlis, 77, of Amarillo died on Saturday August 5, 2006 in Amarillo. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 8, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel with Pastor Gary Burd, of Christian Heritage Church officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 South Osage, Amarillo TX 79103. Mr. Lawlis was a periodical distributor for more than 20 years. He had lived in Amarillo for the last 30 years. He enjoyed watching old western movies and reading. He was a member of Christian Heritage Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda June Lawlis Burd in 1994; a son, Michael West, in 1994; and his wife Billie in 2004. He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Chedester and her husband Steven of Amarillo; Vicki Lawlis of Amarillo; and Judy Kitchens and her husband Eddie of Sunray; three sons, Craig Lawlis and his wife Eunice of Amarillo; Jerry Lawlis and wife Nancy, of Amarillo and Skeeter West of Florida; a son-in-law, Keith Burd and his wife Renee of Amarillo; two sisters, Dee Henry and her husband Jerry of Wichita Falls and Rayma Wilson of Arizona; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
