Evelyn Glendora Newbill 82, of Amarillo died Monday April 15, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Jubilee Apostolic Church with Rev. Nathan Carrington, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Sis. Newbill was born in Childress on Aug. 18, 1930 to Esker and Patricia Lorene (Martin) Canada. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. The love of Christ emanated from her in a mighty way. She was a devoted Christian and loved serving others through her church work. She was a long time member of Jubilee Apostolic Church. She was considered a spiritual mother to many new members as she discipled them in New Convert Care. She was and avid Bible study Teacher and leader of the Daughters of Zion Prayer Group as well as an altar worker. Sis. Newbill enjoyed sharing Christ with everyone she met. She was considered and inspiration to many and left big shoes to feel and an empty place at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Buddy Wayne Canada and numerous nieces and nephews. Sis. Newbill is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Bridges and her husband Joe of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Colette Ragsdale and her husband Tommy of Florence; one brother, Robert Chambers and his wife Kathryn of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Joey Burke of Phoenix, AZ, Tim Burke and his wife Ericka of Fort Myers, FL and Colette Moon of Glendale, AZ; 3 great-grandchildren, Kaleb Moon of Glendale, AZ, Sara Burke and Darby Burke both of Fort Myers, FL. The family requests memorial donations to Jubilee Apostolic Church, 5804 Erik Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
