Sophie Barrera

Sophie Barrera, age 89, passed away on July 25, 2018. Sophie was born in Clayton, NM to Juanita Crespin and Silvano Garcia. Sophie married Fred Barrera on June 26, 1948 in Amarillo, TX. She was preceded in death by her: Brother Jim Garcia; Parents Silvano & Juanita Garcia; Granddaughter Stephanie Candelaria; Son Patrick Barrera. She is survived by her: Daughters Susie Candelaria with Husband Don of Amarillo and Carolyn Delos Santos with Husband Robert of Albuquerque, NM; Sons Tim Barrera, Steve Barrera with Wife Kim and Rudy Barrera with Wife Margaret of Amarillo; and Many Grand, Great-Grand and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Rosary will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6 Pm to 8 PM at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Funeral Mass Services for Sophie Barrera will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018, at St. Marys Cathedral at 2 PM with Concelebrants Father Roy Kafula and Monsignor Harold Waldow officiating.
