Stephen Applegate

Stephen Applegate 29, of Amarillo died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 am Saturday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Carolyn Gable officiating. Interment will be at llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Stephen was born on March 1, 1992 in Amarillo. He worked at Scrap Processing. Stephen loved collecting bicycles. He was a jokester and enjoyed playing tricks on his family and friends. He was very loyal and was always giving to those who were less fortunate. He was a loving father, son, grandson and brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Jared Winkler and his grandfather, James Golden He is survived by one son, Noah Applegate of Fritch; two daughters, Anna Kuc of Ft. Myers, FL and Aspyn Applegate of Amarillo; his parents, Ross and Kimberly Brooks of Amarillo; his step-father, Michael Casey of Coleman; his grandparents, Jo Lynn Golden of Amarillo, Dale and Carolyn Brooks of Groom and Rudy Applegate of Littlefield; his brother Brandon Casey; his sister, Kirsten Preece; his aunts, Michelle Skaggs, Skeeter Skaggs and Stephanie Applegate; his uncles, Roy Applegate and Jackie Skaggs; his special friend, Jennifer Chavez. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7 pm Friday, at the funeral home.
