Stephen Allen Sims

Stephen Allen Sims, 23 of Amarillo died Friday May 9, 2008 in Raton, NM. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life with Ty Jones pastor officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Stephen was born in Amarillo. He graduated from River Road High School in 2003. He worked as a fencing contractor with his dad at B&R Fence. Stephen was an avid sports fan. He loved playing golf, bowling and riding horses in playdays and rodeo events. His favorite sport was softball. He loved watching the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. Stephen's son, Jordon passed away in the same accident. He was a loving father, son and grandson. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Roson Pearson Wilson and Richey Wilson of Amarillo; his father and step-mother Richard James Sims, Jr. and Brooke Sims of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Lindsey Shay Wilson of Amarillo and Jessica Anzaldua of Clearfield, UT; 2 brothers, Jacob Sims and Trey Bookout both of Amarillo and Lance Wilson of Fresno, CA; a step-sister, Jackie Riggs of Melrose, NM; his grand parents, Mary Elsie Pearson and Richard and Priscilla Sims all of Amarillo; his great-grandparents, Frances Allbright of Southland and Sue Clemens of Fairmont, WV and his fianc, Eva Trujillo of Amarillo. The family suggests memorial donations be to the Stephen Allen Sims Memorial Fund in care of Amarillo National Bank.
