Stephen Williams (41) of Amarillo, passed away on April 29th, 2023. He was raised Seventh Day Adventist but later in life he found his own beliefs. After he finished his schooling he began working on getting his career started. He began at Atmos Energy first working in the call center and moved his way up to becoming a senior software engineer. From there he worked different jobs under the same title, going from ProAg, Nimbus ID, Turnkey, and Matrix Imaging. After so many years of the same monotonous job, in the last months of his life he decided to pursue his true dream of making music. For many years, Stephen had been creating music with his brother Jayson "Jum" Williams, and his soul brother Cody "Guitody" Seaton. In the year 2013 they changed the name of their band to Desmos to signify the great bond all three of them had formed. Stephen always retained a child-like love for life. He was an avid drone pilot, a man with a thirst for any and all knowledge, even becoming a Freemason in the year 2008. He was a major concert junkie, and just about the biggest Tool fan I've ever met. He loved to dive and frequently made trips to the Blue Hole, as well as several dives off the coasts of California. He was a student of Philosophy, Physics, and practiced martial arts for over 30 years, much of his training coming in his adulthood from his Sifu Barry Vanover. He filled his life with the things he loved in order to survive. He absolutely loved his children and at every opportunity told everyone how they were the most important thing in his life. His camera roll is filled with all the thousands of pictures he had with them. He often spoke about how lucky he was to have the massive support system that he had. He is survived by his eldest Son, Kaiden Williams, his youngest Son, Thaddeus Williams, and his Daughter, Emma Ramirez. As well as his many brothers including Jayson Williams, Brandon Williams, Kai Williams, and Evan Malone. Sisters Kaitlin Dowdy, and Shania Williams. His father Micheal Williams , and his grandmother Peggy Williams as well as countless cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Rector Funeral Home on May 20th at 10am, as well as a viewing on May 19th from 5pm-8pm. The family would like to express thanks to everyone for expressing their condolences and unending support through this difficult time.
