Steve Michael Dukes

Steve Michael Dukes 49, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Steve was born in Dell City. He moved to Amarillo more than 20 years ago. He was a co-owner of Miller Radiator Service. He was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of the customers that needed him. Steve was a devout husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He never met a stranger and was always the center of attention. Steve was an honest man. He was very giving and enjoyed helping others, any way he could. He loved outdoor activities and was an avid hunter. Steve never thought of himself as better than anyone and was very appreciative of the little thing in life. He married the love of his life, Rose Martos in 1987 in Dell City. He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Sinci Rios and her husband Austin of Amarillo and Stephanie Palmer and her husband Christian of Mountain Home, ID; his mother Corina Dukes of Dell City; 1 brother, Dobi Dukes of Vega; 3 sisters, Susie Maldonado of El Paso, Lorrie Rodriguez of San Antonio and Cristie Romero of Midland and 2 grandson, Jax Rios and Peyton Palmer.
