Steven V. Lindsey, 58, of Amarillo died Saturday, December 12, 2020. Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at The Loft church officiated by Pastor Bruce Gregory of Farmers Branch Church of God. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Sunday, December 20 from 1-3:30 pm and Monday 6-7:45 pm at the funeral home. Steven was born May 17, 1962, in Denver Co. to JoAnn Hernandez. He was a kind-hearted, compassionate man who loved his family endlessly. He married his high school sweetheart Lisa in July of 1981. They spent 39 years together. They had three wonderful daughters; Catherine, Lauren, and Grace. Steven was a hard-working man. He started working for Sears in the retail department part-time as he worked on his ministries and after 27 years of working for Sears, he finished as an operations manager. He then started as a Sr. Analyst for Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He never met a stranger; this may partially be from doing the Lord's work or his great sense of humor. He always had a joke ready and enjoyed making others laugh, but his true passion was talking to others about Christ. Steven and Lisa always opened their home to anyone in need. He was a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos, was always up for a good movie, and never passed on the chance to have a conversation with the people he loved most. Steven was preceded in death by his step-dad, Chuck Hernandez, and his brother-in-law, Michael Maes. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his three daughters; Catherine Lindsey and her partner Jesse OHare, Lauren Jackson and her husband Jonathan, Grace Martinez and her husband Brandon, Six grandchildren; Pilot, Sailor, Jace, Miles, Abigale, and Brantley, His Mother, JoAnn Hernandez, his sister, Carol Garcia, two brothers; Anthony Leonetti and Arthur Lindsey and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
