Susan Elaine Geopfert

Susan Elaine Geopfert, 54, of Amarillo, passed away June 17th 2017. Family Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 Pm Wednesday Susan joins her Mother, Francis Lavern Honey Geopfert, and her granddaughter, Brooklyn Noel Allen in the arms of Jesus. Survivors include: her father Virgil Geopfert; brothers, Joe and Paul Geopfert; husband, Armando Mendoza; Daughters, Erica and husband Randy White, Tiffany and husband Matt Barnes, Autumn and husband Landon Walker, and Brittney Sanchez; Grandchildren, Taylor Jordan, Taytum Rilie, Mariah Domonique, Noah Blake, Matthew Ryan, Braydon Tomas, Riley Addison, Brennan Rose, Presley Rain, Alexis Grace, Allison Johanna, and Abby Joy; great-grandson, Kingston Blake; And numerous family and friends. Susan was born in Clovis NM and grew up in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo College and became a nurse. She loved her patients dearly and was compassionate about their care. She leaves us with her spirit of giving and love. Matthew 19: 21 says "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven." Susan has found her treasure in heaven. She had a fierce relationship with her family and friends. Her time with her Grandchildren was precious. Susan had a heart of Gold and the love she shared for family and friends will be felt for generations. The legacy of her compassion lives on. The memory of her laugh, her smile, will remain with us forever. Family will be receiving guests at Rector Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday June 21, 2017.
