Sylvia Baeza, 40, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 in Amarillo. Rosary was Tuesday at 6:00 PM at St. Martins Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at St. Martins Catholic Church with Rev. Pat Carathers officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Baeza was born in El Paso, Texas. She was raised in Dell City, Texas. She married Manuel Baeza in 1981 in Dell City. She moved to Amarillo in 1990. She worked as a hostess at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant, and later, as a Special Education Teachers Assistant at Horace Mann Middle School. She was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. Survivors include: husband, Manuel Baeza of the home; 1 daughter, Danielle Baeza, and 1 son, Michael Baeza, both of the home; her parents, Juan and Ignacia Reyes of El Paso; 4 sisters, Bertha Gallegos and Emma Gallegos, both of Dell City, Lupe Reyes of Las Cruces, NM, and Alice Castillo of El Paso; 6 brothers, Johnny Reyes and Victor Reyes, both of Temple, Rudy Reyes of Wildomar, CA, Raul Reyes and Hector Reyes, both of El Paso, and Roger Reyes of Lubbock.
