Tamara Sue York

Tamara Sue York, 47, of Amarillo died Saturday, December 4, 2021. Memorial service is 2:00 pm Thursday, December 9 at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church (4000 W Cherry Ave, Amarillo, TX 79108) officiated by associate Pastor Chuck Neal. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Tamara was born January 5, 1974, in Flagstaff Az. to Bobby and Shirly Roberts. Tamara was very free-spirited. She was very adventurous and loved traveling. Tamara was also very spontaneous and wasnt afraid to take risks. She never met a stranger, she loved all and treated everyone like family. Tamara was very selfless and giving, but above all, she was a Godly woman. She loved her church and all those who attended. Tamara met the love of her life, Jason, when they worked at IBP together. they were married 21 years. She enjoyed the little things in life. She was a very proud wife, mother, daughter but most of all she was a very proud grandmother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Tamara loved working at the DPS. Her coworkers were like a second family to her. she was employed at the DPS for 13 years. Tamara was preceded in death by her father, and her grandmothers; Helen Roberts and Agnes Clark. She is survived by her mother, her husband, Jason York, her daughter, Beth York, her two sons; Garyn Childers and his wife Krystal, and Theron Childers, one granddaughter, Samantha, three grandsons; Hayze, Alexander, and Uri, her sister, Traci Roberts, one nephew, Sebastian Roberts, and both her grandfathers; Bobby Roberts Sr. and Thomas Clark.
