Tara Denise Lance, 28, of Vernon, TX died Friday July 16, 2010 in Vernon Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday at St. Laurence Cathedral with Father Gabriel Cardiel officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Tara was born October 5, 1981, in Amarillo, TX. She attended school in Amarillo & Childress, TX and settled in Vernon, TX in 2007. She was employed at North Texas State Hospital in Vernon. She was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. Tara was a wonderful mother, daughter and friend. Tara enjoyed life, friends, and most of all being a Mom. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Joyce Allen, three grandfathers, Ted Allen, Neil Lucero and Herbert Buchanan and an uncle, Ted Lucero. Survivors include her husband, Joshua Lance of Electra; two daughters Olivia Dawn McLain of Childress, and Jessica Lynn Lance of Vernon; her son Connor Wayne McLain of Childress; her parents Gloria and Ruben Rivera of Amarillo & Jeff & Sue Allen of Lubbock; her grandparents, Adella Lucero of Amarillo, Jean Buchanan of Lubbock, and Johnny & Pauline Harrison of Iowa Park; two sisters, Tracy Maxwell of Lewisville and Emily Maxwell of Vernon; two step-brothers Jeramy Cannon and Shane Cannon both of Lubbock; Aunts & Uncles include Randall Pendleton of Amarillo, Brad and Carla Allen of Amarillo, Edward & Alecia Cuellar of Rowlett, TX, Larry Allen of Amarillo, and Vel Williamson of Tyler, TX; Gerald and MaryAnn Thomason of Canyon, TX, Mark Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Jimmy Lucero of Amarillo, Nick and Margaret Angel of Albuquerque, NM, Albert & Gloria Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Pat & Joyce Johnson of Plainview, TX, Gerald & Linda Harrison of Weatherford, Euvonna Duckworth of Amarillo, Letty Lucero of Amarillo, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
