Ted ""The Happy Painter"" Hantsche Jr. , 79 of Pampa died Friday September 1, 2006 in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday in Winters Lutheran Cemetery in Winters, Texas; with Rev. Michael Erickson, of Zion Lutheran Church in Pampa. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter. Mr. Hantsche was born to Ted and Ethel Hantsche on August 15, 1927in Nolan County. They moved to Winters, Texas in 1929. He was the oldest of 4 children. Ted graduated from Winters High School and enlisted in the Navy in 1945, he was honorably discharged in 1947. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church; he was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and soul mate, Irene. He was loved and will be missed by many. Survivors include: his children Deanna Helton of Canadian, Jerry Finney, and Jerry Brumfield of Pampa, Nick Brumfield of Glendale, AZ, and Debra Murphy of Amarillo; 2 brothers Harry A. Hantsche of Arlington; and Harvey D. Hantsche of Point; TX, 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive guests Monday from 12 PM-1:30 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 West Duncan Pampa, TX 79065.
