Terry K. Gowdy

Terry K. Gowdy, 74, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Amarillo. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Gowdy was born in Oklahoma City on October 4, 1938. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her husband and children. Mrs. Gowdy married the love of her life, Ron Gowdy on March 31, 1961. They moved to Shamrock in 1972 and returned to Amarillo in 2004. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shamrock. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Richard Gowdy and his wife Mary Ann of Hartsburg, MO, James Gowdy and his wife Paula McIntyre of Livingston and Sam Patrick Gowdy of Katy; five grandchildren, Christopher, McKenzie, Stephen, Katie and Sarah.
