Thelma Elizabeth Phillips

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Mike Kerns, great-nephew officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Phillips was born in Bowie. She lived in Amarillo with her sister Mrs. B.F. (Bernice) Shemwell 45 years. She moved to Country Club Manor 4 years ago. She worked in the restaurant business most of her life. She worked at the Herring Hotel Coffee Shop 30 years, the Capitol Hotel Coffee Shop 30 years, the Blackstone Caf and Western Bowl Restaurant. She retired at age 85. She also worked as a sitter many years. She was preceded in death by her son Bob Phillips and 9 brothers and sisters. Survivors include; 2 sisters; Willie Dee Bryant of Tecumseh, OK, and Bernice Shemwell of Amarillo, 1 brother; Frank Hall of San Antonio, 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
