Thomas Wayne Mcwilliams Sr.

Thomas Wayne McWilliams, Sr. 69 of 3446 Amherst, died Wednesday April 10, 2002 at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Davis, pastor of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. WcWilliams was born in Amarillo. He was a member of the 1948 Golden Sandies football team that won state runner-up. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1951. He retired from the Coca Cola Co., Foods Division after 24 years of service, during which time he received numerous awards. He was a member of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church (formerly Olsen Park Baptist Church) He married Charlotte Rinehart on November 15, 1952. Survivors include his wife of the home; 3 sons; Tom McWilliams, Jr., Mark McWilliams and Laine McWilliams all of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Betty Jo Reese and Bobbie Griffith both of Amarillo, 1 brother; John Moore of Dallas, 1 grandson; Dustin McWilliams of Amarillo, 1 grand-daughter; Alyssa Robertson of Amarillo and 1 great-grand-daughter; Makala Robertson of Amarillo. The family will be at 3446 Amherst Amarillo, Texas 79109 and request memorial donations be to the American Diabetes Aossciation.
