Thomas Leo Moran

Thomas Leo ""Tom"" Moran 84, of Amarillo died Friday, August 17, 2007 at Claude. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Moran was born on the family farm in Crescent, IA to Leo and Mimie Moran. He moved to Texas and worked as a farmer and rancher in the Dumas and Dalhart areas. He moved to Amarillo in 1972 from Dumas. After moving to Amarillo he worked as a general contractor and retired in 2002. Mr. Moran attended Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter; Sandra Kay Moran. Survivors include: 1 daughter; Jana Cyr and her husband Adolph of Golden, CO, 3 sons; Danny Moran and Jon Moran and his wife Sheryl all of Amarillo and Patrick Moran of California, 1 sister; Delores Grady of Dunlap, IA, 3 brothers; Paul Moran of Denver, CO, Dale Moran of Scottsdale, AZ and Joe Moran of Crescent, IA, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
