Thomas Reed

Thomas Tom Reed 60, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Kingswood United Methodist Church with Dr. Brad Reeves, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pioneer Circle with Military Honors by the DAV Chapter #26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Tom was born in Grove City, PA. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam. He moved to Amarillo in 1976 from Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, the OOIDA and attended Kingswood United Methodist Church. He married the love of his life, Ginger Brown on January 23, 1987 in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his Father, Richard Reed and two brothers, Edward and Larry Reed. Tom is survived by his wife, one daughter, Jessica Reed of Amarillo; two sons, Matt Reed and Travis Reed, both of Amarillo; his mother, Mary A. Reed of Grove City, PA; a sister, Pamela Reed Leskovac and her husband Bud of Galena, OH, and 1 grandchild. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to The ALS Association 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250 Washington, DC 20005 The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home
