Thomas E. Vogel, 62, of Amarillo died Friday, September 17, 2021. Memorial service is 10:00 am Wednesday September 29, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by James Griffin of Temple Baptist Church. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage. The family will receive guests 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The service will be live-streamed to the Rector Funeral Home Facebook page. Thomas (Tom) E. Vogel was born in Lehigh Pa. October 17, 1958, to Madilyn and Kermit Vogel. It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of our Father, former police officer sergeant Thomas E. Vogel. Tom was a loving and devoted husband and father: a very sophisticated man, who loved to travel and enjoy life. Tom was a brave man, who loved his country and served in the military until his retirement in 1992. Throughout his Military time, he obtained many degrees, among others a degree in car mechanics from 1985 - 1989: due to his passion for cars and his dream to open his own auto repair shop. Shortly after his retirement from the Military, Tom joined the Amarillo Police Department from October 1992 - February 2021. He will be dearly missed by his ex-wife Daniele; his children: Michele, Angelina, Gabriella, and Steven: as well as numerous other family members and friends.
