Tillmon E. Barker

Tillmon E. Barker, 86, of Amarillo, died Friday, October 15, 2021. The family will host a memorial service at 3:00 pm on October 30th, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Tillmon was born in Lela TX. on April 17, 1935 to Wannie Lee and Odell Barker. He was a loving and giving man. He was very soothing and supportive and always had the right words that encouraged. He was always there to help anyone in need. Although he was supportive, Tillmon also didnt have a filter and always spoke his mind. Tillmon was a hardworking man. At the age of 86, he was still mowing his yard and picking apples. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean war. Tillmon met the love of his life, Judy Shelley when she bought a car from him. They were married for 25 years before divorcing, but they remained close friends and always loved each other. Tillmon was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life, Judy Shelley, two brothers; Billy and Gene Barker, and his half-sister, Beatrice Burleson. He was survived by his three daughters, Deanna Almanaz and her husband Valentine, Theresa Smith and her husband Joe, and Cindy McKeever, three sons; Tillmon E Barker II, Donald Barker, and Tom Hogan and his wife Susie, 15 grandchildren, 32great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Suedale Stone, one brother, Clyde Barker, two half-sisters; Roberta and Melinda and many nieces and nephews. Direct Cremation Tuesday, October 19, 2021
