Tom Kearns

Tom Kearns, 75, of Amarillo, died on Monday, September 8, 2025. 

Memorial services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage, with Chris Condit officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.

Tom was born on December 7, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Timothy and Mildred Kearns. He grew up in South Milwaukee and served in the United States Navy. He moved to Amarillo in 1978. He was a member of the International Boilermakers for his entire career until retirement in 2009. He loved to go to the Broken Spoke and enjoyed gardening. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers Fan.

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Hilderbrand and husband Matt of Bushland; two sons, T.J. Kearns of Oakridge, Tennessee and Michael Kearns of Amarillo; a brother, Tim Kearns of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and a sister, Barbara Engleberg of Florida; his best friend, Sheila; and seven grandchildren, M.J., Jansen, Jade, Julian, Jayce, Tallyn, and Maddyx; and one great-grandchild, Emerson.
