Thomas L. ""Tommy"" Draper, 72 of Amarillo died Monday March 17, 2003. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Military Rites will be by the DAV Chapter #26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Draper was born in Vinson, OK. He moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Mangum. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for Panhandle Fruit and Navajo Freight for several years before becoming a steel applicator. He married Jo Nelson in 1951 at Wellington. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Dwight Draper in 1984. Survivors include his wife of the home, 1 daughter; Shelley Cole of Arlington, 2 sons; Bruce Wayne Draper of Arlington andBreck Thomas Draper of Irving, 1 sister; Bessie Brewster of Mangum, 1 brother; Jack Draper of Blair, OK and 8 grandchildren. The family requests memorial donation be to Olivia's Angels in care of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
