Tommy J. Jones

Tommy J. Jones , 77, of Amarillo died on Saturday July 29, 2006 in Amarillo. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2006 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Winfred Moore, retired Baptist Minister, and Jim Fox, Chaplain of Vista Care Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Jones loved his family, his church and he loved God. Mr. Jones enjoyed gardening. He was a simple man and he lived by what he taught. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.J. and Ruby Jones, his wife Sue and a brother, Ted Amburn. He is survived by three daughters, Joy Fisher of Amarillo; Janis Sherbet of Waxahachie and Lisa Swarny of Kyle; four sons, Gary Jones of Austin; Jimmy Jones of Amarillo; Kerry Jones of Las Vegas NV; and Kenny Jones of Dallas; three brothers Jerrell Jones Jerry Jones; and Tex Jones; two sisters, Helen Patrick and Barbara Rosser; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
