Tommy Lloyd Wheeler

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Rector Funeral Home Osage chapel with Jim Myers officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Drummond Cemetery in Abilene. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Tommy Lloyd Wheeler passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday April 11, 2015. Mr. Wheeler was born February 20, 1953 in Memphis TX to William Wheeler and Dorothy Alexander. Tommy was a crane operator for 40 years. He retired in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, outdoors, raising cattle and joking. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father William Wheeler, a brother Douglas Wheeler, and a daughter Candace Powell. Survivors include his wife; Linda Wheeler of 30 years, two sons; Darin Wheeler and wife Sara of Groom, TX and Stephen Powell of Amarillo, two daughters; Connie Cessnun and husband Tim of Amarillo, Cindy Danner and husband Chad of Amarillo his mother; Dorothy Alexander of Abilene, TX. two brothers; Bill Wheeler and wife Peggy of Honey Grove, TX and Dwayne Alexander and wife Stacey of Abilene, TX. , Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
