Trent 'Shelley T' Young

Trent "Shelley T" Young 66, of Amarillo died, Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 3 pm Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Chuck Neal, associate pastor of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church officiating. Trent was born on March 8, 1955 in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School. After high school, Trent served in the US Army. Trent worked as a boiler tech for many years. He had worked at A-Tex for 20 years and Acton Mechanical for more than 10 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 531. Trent was very intelligent and enjoyed learning. He enjoyed riding his Harley and being outdoors. Trent had a great sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh. He was a very giving person and loved helping others, especially his family. He married Janet Linton in 1990 in Canyon. Trent is survived by his wife; two sons, Shane Bull and his wife Jessica and Shon Rains; three daughters, Christy Vigil and her husband Johnny, Mendy Bull and Shonda Rains; five brothers, Noel Young, Arland Young, Stewart Young, Chuck Casey and Bill Linton; one sister, Dana Phelps, his nephew Christopher Phelps; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lacey, Brooke, Shyla, Haylie, Payton, Memphis, Gracen, Randall, Justin, Axton, Kadija, Kimber, Leighton, Rita, Ashlie, Rebecca, Mallory, Carlos, Avery, Demi, Kayden, Khloe, Shonaci, Severyn, Esperanza, Xavier and Mahiya. The family requests memorial donations, in lieu of Flowers to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
